An amazing opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to oversee the new HQ for our prestigious contract in the heart of Birmingham city centre.

This role is not your average General Manager position, we are looking for a highly capable and profession individual who can work closely with the contractor throughout the initial construction of the new HQ, mobilisation and take full ownership of the service when the offices open in January

As the General Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the operation to a very high standard with circa 2,500 employees on site.

You will be managing a large team across several outlets including a fine dining restaurant, three café style restaurants, one Starbucks coffee unit as well as other food concepts along with a vast hospitality offering.

Main responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include full oversight of the catering operation including hospitality and employee dining. You will need to be innovative and creative whilst being commercially driven. Being a self-proclaimed foodie, you will manage the staff to ensure a smooth and successful service is run daily.

Ideal candidate
  • Experience managing and working within fine dining or high end hospitality.
  • Project Management and Mobilisation background.
  • Must have proven catering management experience, whether in an Operations Management role or a Group Management position
  • Be self-motivated and show the ability to work in a pressurised commercial, customer facing environment
  • Confident people leadership skills
  • Excellent customer presentational ability, both verbal and written.
  • Branded retail experience would be a distinct advantage
