Join us as a cook / chef at our 19-bedroom hotel and wedding venue and enjoy a varied role with simple menus featuring local produce, where the pressure is well and truly off! This excellent workplace and friendly team boasts very low staff turnover.
A 19-bedroom hotel and Barn wedding venue in a beautiful countryside setting. Our Wedding menus feature BBQs, Carverys and Hog Roasts; not fine dining but simple tasty food produced to a high standard using lots of local produce. The hotel menu is similar in it’s ethos, a small menu featuring comfort food. We do not open as a restaurant to the public, serving only our residents and sometimes campsite guests. This makes services more predictable and means we’re rarely slammed or caught short-staffed.
What we’re looking for
We want someone with good food knowledge and experience, potentially with the ability to lead the kitchen and food side of the business. We’re happy with our offering and don’t want to do anything dramatically different, but the right candidate could help take our catering to the next step.
The candidate will be
- Either an experienced or trained cook/chef.
- Well practiced in Food Safety and monitoring procedures.
- Confident in producing & presenting food to a high standard (not fine dining).
- Proficient and organised in the kitchen.
Willingness to work weekends and evenings a necessity.
Applicants must have right to work in the UK.
Own car is essential due to rural location and no bus route.

Live-in accomodation may be available.
Salary: 19000 – 22000 depending on experience, with potential to rise
