Levy Restaurants UK have an excellent opportunity available for a Regional Deputy General Manager within Jockey Club Catering.  This is a diverse role and is integral to the success of our partnership with The Jockey Club. This role will be based at Cheltenham Racecourse famous for the Cheltenham festival when also overseeing operations at Warwick Racecourse and supporting with Henley Regatta. This role, therefore, offers a great mix of events and offers fantastic opportunities to progress.   

As Regional Deputy General Manager you will report into the Regional Operations Director to take responsibility for the day to day operations across the two racecourses whilst working closely with our client and driving the business. You will ensure standards across all event and non-event days in both commercial and hospitality services. As Regional Deputy General Manager you will develop and manage a motivated team, ensuring appropriate skills to ensure budget targets are achieved.

£50,000 to £55,000 per annum plus bonus.

To work 5 out of 7 days in line with business needs

Main responsibilities
  • Managing client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to
  • Driving the service and support to exceed our client's and our customers' expectations
  • Planning and implementing plans to achieve strategic growth of the operation and overall contract delivery
  • Coaching, developing and leading a team to provide exceptional service to the clients
  • Driving service excellence thereby exceeding customer expectations/requirements and enhancing the customer journey
  • Deliver the profit for the business through leading and supporting your team in delivery of their financial targets
Ideal candidate
  • Management experience within Sport and Leisure or similar background ideal
  • The ability to build and lead an effective team
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Results orientated and motivated to achieve measurable results
  • Sound knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Proven experience in a similar hospitality or commercial multi outlet or multisite role
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated and show the ability to work in a pressurised commercial, customer facing environment
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • Computer literacy
  • Financial and commercial acumen
