Levy Restaurants UK are the official catering partner of Harlequins Football Club. The services offered include extensive hospitality and retail with future plans for redevelopment.

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to work within our core chef team to cover all match day production and senior events. As Junior Sous Chef you will also run a kitchen within a 170 cover lounge on match days which offers an a la carte menu. You will work closely with our Senior Sous and Head Chef to provide quality hospitality for up to 1000 covers and be supported to develop within Harlequins and Levy Compass Group.

Package description

£25,000 per annum

To work 5 out of 7 days, To work mainly 7am to 4pm and be able to work weekends to cover match days

Main responsibilities
  • Monitor standards of hygiene and appearance to ensure company standards are maintained.
  • Respond to the pace of the business in terms of speed of work and productivity.
  • Prepare food in the correct manner as shown by the Head Chef, in compliance with company food specifications and photographs.
  • Work with the entire team including managers and supervisors to provide quality, well-presented food with speed and efficiency.
  • Where appropriate make recommendations to improve products and service
  • Follow instructions to maximise product yield and minimise waste.
  • To make sure that you meet all legal and company requirements for fire, health, safety, and hygiene
Ideal candidate
  • Ideally 5 years experience catering for hospitality and events
  • Quality driven
  • Have excellent culinary skills with an attention to detail
  • Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements
  • A creative thinker with sound knowledge of the latest food trends
  • Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Qualified to NVQ level1/2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent
  • A team player with experience of supervising a team within a similar environment
  • To develop future and maximise all sales opportunities
