As an Accounts Assistant at Compass Group you will work closely with our operational teams to ensure we are offering an outstanding service to the brands and operators we work with. You will play an integral role in supporting our team with taking control of the sales ledger, working with our customers to ensure payments of invoices; whilst conducting weekly reporting and processing of month-end activities. In addition to this, you will work with operational teams to advise on financial postings, whilst participating in year-end activities.
We value ourselves on our ability to build relationships and get to the root cause of complex queries and so, you will encourage effective and timely management around your accounts. In addition to this, you will be responsible for analysis to highlight areas of improvement and initiate ideas to improve the overall standards and effectiveness of transactional processes on site.

To fit in with us, and for us to be right for you; you will ideally be working towards or have recently qualified in AAT or will be an experienced individual with experience in transactional process as a minimum. You will thrive working in a fast-paced and ever changing environment and will be confident in your ability to liaise with managers at all levels of seniority. You will have demonstrable Excel skills, with the ability to use vlookups and pivot tables with confidence, whilst having great analytical skills and a strong attention to detail. Finally, we are seeking an individual who has a methodical and flexible approach to work.
