Account Development Manager

We are on the lookout for an Account Development Manager to join our expanding Account Team here at Foodbuy, a premier procurement company for food and beverage who provide innovative and unique procurement solutions to operations across the UK and Europe. This role is fundamental in bridging the gap between the sales and operational teams for new clients to offer continuity and comfort throughout the transitional onboarding phase.Package description

Reporting in to the Client Accounts Director and working closely with the Strategic Sourcing Lead for New Business, you will be responsible for completing the conversion of new client category spend to Foodbuy deals. To do this, you will be required to build strong and lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to promptly develop and understand on new members business needs and deliver proposals which meet their requirements and further our strategic intent to be the biggest food procurement provider in Europe by 2020. You will be required to talk comfortably with clients about their sourcing requirements in order to challenge what they are buying to ensure we are driving optimisation and value. Working collaboratively with our Category and Sourcing Teams you will develop a structured communication plan to ensure that knowledge and best practice are being shared and followed.Ideal candidate
You will have previous experience in an Account Management role where you will have demonstrated the ability to develop accounts, generate new business and build strong and effective relationships. You will demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally with the knowledge and gravitas to influence, engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders. Ideally you will have an understanding of buying and sourcing with an understanding of the food supply chain.
This is a mobile role, you will be required to travel to our Chertsey Office on a weekly basis and visit client sites.
