We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Manager to oversee the catering operations within a large staff restaurant, within Royal Mail,  based near Northampton. Primarily you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the restaurant, all financial aspects, training, managing a team of up to 10 staff, and responsible for the Health and Safety of the operation. The unit operates 7 days a week. The catering manager will predominantly work Mon – Fri between the hours of 7am – 4pm.   You will have excellent people management skills, and be able to communicate at all levels and preferably have experience within an industrial environment in a similar sized operation.

Main responsibilities
  • Managing a team of 10 staff including a HC
  • Catering for the staff on site including breakfast, lunch, dinner and nights
  • Attracting new customers with your excellent service and quality food
  • Demonstrating a real passion for increasing sales and providing excellent service
  • Responsible for all the financial aspects of the business
  • Training and motivating staff
  • Building an excellent relationship with the client
  • Ensuring all customer requirements are delivered in line with the expectation

  • Must be flexible regards to working hours
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • Experience working in a very busy and pressurised environment
  • It would be to your advantage if you have worked within contract catering
