Sodexo have secured a new contract with Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, which is set to become the pre-eminent events venue in the South East, as such we are looking for a Head Chef. The centre is set to open early in 2018 and Sodexo are extremely pleased to be part of this exciting new venture. This role offers the opportunity to join the team from the start and establish the venue as a leading events destination. We are looking for an experienced Chef, who can understand the requirements of our customers and Client, putting together menus and food offers that exceed expectations. The venue and nature of the business will offer challenges, from volume of customers, variety of events and fluctuating levels of business.
You will manage the brigade, leading by example and building a respectful, high performing team. Driving cleanliness and hygiene you will ensure high standards are in place whilst being financially accountable for food costs and wastage. - Competent and relevant background across hospitality and retail food offers
- Previous high volume events experience
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Management of large and diverse teams
- Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities
- Financial awareness and understanding of Profit & Loss accounts and cost controls
