We are looking for a Senior Chef to lead the Sodexo team in the award winning Singapore Airlines Lounge at London Heathrow Airport; overseeing a team of 12 this role has full responsibility for the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, plating, food ordering and storage. Managing the kitchen brigade this is a highly responsible and autonomous role.

Main responsibilities

Working closely with the Lounge Manager, you will have up to 500 passengers a day with both a European and Asian Inspired menu within this exceptional, prestigious environment. The lounge is open from 5.30am am to 10pm and you would work 5 days out of 7, shift work and dealing with delayed flights will require someone flexible with working hours. The role involves planning, supervising and delivering the food and beverages as per the lounge requirements, coaching and guiding the staff to ensure an efficient operation. Working with the customers you will ensure the highest quality of service through continuous improvement to product and services, by seeking customer feedback and interacting daily to explain the food and beverages on offer. You will ensure buffet and stock levels are maintained and control hygiene standards, whilst providing training to staff to ensure presentation and display of food is of a high standard. You will also be involved in forecasting of food consumption, assigning team responsibilities and holding team meetings. As the most senior Chef on site this is a responsible and varied position.
