We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our catering team within the Members Dining Restaurant at this prestigious sports club based in the heart of Wimbledon.

This is one of the world’s iconic sporting locations serving as a private Members Club during 50 weeks of the year and then, for two weeks, hosting The Championships – the world’s premier grass court tennis tournament.

We are looking for someone that can help drive our food offer forward working alongside the Head Chef.

This role offers great development opportunities and would suit a senior Chef de Partie with fine dining restaurant experience ready to take on their first Sous Chef role.

SOUS CHEF – MEMBERS DINING - All England Lawn Tennis Club

Competitive Salary

To work 45 hours, 5 out of 7 days, weekends on rotation bases and latest finish 10pm.

Main responsibilities
  • The Sous Chef will plan, organise and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the company’s reputation for quality is enhanced with customers and clients at all times
  • This is one of the world’s iconic sporting locations serving as a private Members Club during 50 weeks of the year and then, for two weeks, hosting The Championships – the world’s premier grass court tennis tournament.

  • The dining offer within the Clubhouse comprises of a formal dining room serving lunch six days a week with supper served Monday to Thursday evenings; an all day, less formal offer, is available in the Club Room where morning pastries, snack lunches and afternoon tea are served.  The Landing Bar is open for morning coffee and an all day drinks service.

  • Support the existing team in food production covering the entire members dining operation by providing advice, expertise and innovation
  • Possess an exceptional drive for quality for Hospitality events
  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety, Health & Safety and COSHH

  • Excellent and Innovative culinary and presentation skills
  • Have a ‘big personality’ .Great people skills and be able to lead, train and inspire a large team as well as interact with members and guests.
  • Have a real passion for food and customer service along with bags of enthusiasm.
  • Food Innovation and development is essential along with being up to date with current food trends
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Superb culinary skills
