Our team at 45 Park Lane are savvy and innovative, like the hotel itself, and take pleasure in welcoming our guests to their vibrant London home. The sommelier will look after the service throughout all different Food and Beverage outlets in the Hotel, being based in its modern American steak restaurant, CUT at 45 Park Lane by Wolfgang Puck.

The candidate should have a consistent and solid wine knowledge, with a natural ability to clearly describe wine to various types of guests, experts or casual drinkers alike with unique skill and showmanship.

Sommelier role overview

Main Duties:

  • Provide an immaculate and attentive wine service using skills, following standards and applying empathy.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the beverage sales forecasted for the restaurant are met and strives to meet target cost of sales, upholding company values and standards at the same time.
  • Tailor one’s service to a multitude of different guests based on company’s database of guests preferences.
  • Communicate well with other departments and have a strategic approach to wine training so to elevate the general knowledge across the whole establishment

Health & Safety

  • Comply with all statutory and company health and safety, fire, bomb and security regulations
  • Ensure job required certificates are kept up to date

Requirements:

  • Qualified international sommelier certificate
  • Personality and personal drive
  • Excellent Wine & Spirits knowledge
  • Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant
  • Being Fluent and proficient in English
  • Immaculate presence
