Main responsibilities

As a Category Buyer within Foodbuy, you will develop and implement market leading and innovative category strategies and ranges, which will fundamentally drive our revenue and profit performance. You will be an outstanding communicator who will be able to develop strong relationships with both our clients and suppliers; with a focus on sourcing great products at the forefront of everything you do. In addition to this, you will conduct analysis which will help support you make informed commercial decisions around the market place and will provide insight into long-term sourcing strategies.

Ideal candidate

To fit in with us, and for us to be right for you; you will have previous buying experience gained within a fast-paced organisation. You will have the ability to look at clients’ needs as a source of inspiration with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships. Previous experience of supplier and client management is key as well as the ability to influence, engage, negotiate and communicate at all levels. We are a complex and fast-paced business, so you will also have energy, enthusiasm and resilience in abundance.
