Here at Compass Group we are currently on the lookout for a Head of Payroll to join our large HR Shared Service department during an exciting period of change. This is an integral role within HR Shared Services that services a complete client group with multiple different time and attendance systems in a high volume, time critical environment.

Reporting directly in to the Head of HR Shared Services you will be responsible for owning and driving the strategic direction of the payroll function ensuring that our biggest and most complex spend category is managed effectively and efficiently. You will lead the transformation of our payroll services to minimise risk, maximise operations efficiency and drive a culture that the puts the manager at the heart of what we do. Leading a team of circa 40 payroll professionals, you will manage and motivate your team in a high volume environment, monitoring performance against agreed SLA’s and actively developing team members keeping succession planning at the forefront of your mind.Ideal candidate
For you to be right for us, and for us to be right for you, you will be an experienced payroll professional who has operated at a senior capacity within a large, fast-paced organisation. You will have experience of transforming and managing complex payrolls with demonstrable experience of developing and improving processes in a service led organisation. With proven change management experience you will be resilient and adaptable with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders of all seniority across the business. As a true leader, you will have previous experience of leading and motivated a payroll team driving a positive team environment with high levels of customer satisfaction.
