We are looking to bring on board a talented Operations Manager to come and join the team at Oxford Brookes University.

Main responsibilities

You will be supporting the team to provide a Best In Class service that delivers value for money every day in service lines such as hospitality, café, pop ups, retail and event management.

As our Operations Manager, you will lead and manage a team across multi catering units to deliver excellent food quality and customer service to our clients, whilst ensuring contractual, legislative and Compass standards are met and maintained.

You will also be responsible for developing trusted working relationship with clients through regular communication, providing accurate and timely periodic reports and acting with gravitas at meetings

Ideal candidate

We are expecting applications from candidates with proven operational management experience within a high street or contract catering environment with sound knowledge of procedural and legislative frameworks, sound financial acumen and experienced in managing people, budgets and growing sales. Candidates will need to hold Level 3 Food Safety and Health and Safety qualification or equivalent

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in:

  • Managing teams to deliver innovative, high quality food and beverage offers that compete with the high street
  • Delivering customer service standards that match or exceed best in class on the high street
  • Being obsessive about providing great customer service and food in both the café and hospitality environment
  •  We also would like candidates who have strong record in mentoring, coaching and                                               developing their teams to deliver operational success
