Levy Restaurants are proud to work alongside Twickenham Experience, The home to the Rugby Football Union. Twickenham Stadium hosts international matches for the England national team, club rugby matches and a range of events such as music concerts.

We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to work within our fast paced and ever changing business.  As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Senior Sous and Head Chef to provide quality hospitality including fine dining. Our events are varied and can include small fine dining dinners through to Matchday production for 10,000 people. You will ideally have a background in fine dining able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and able to manage a team of casual staff.

This role requires strong management and planning skills, with the requirement for excellent communication and management skills. You will therefore, be adaptable as well as passionate and hard working.

£33,000 per annum

To work 5 out of 7 days, Twickenham hosts various major events a year so flexibility needed in line with business needs.

Main responsibilities
  • Monitor standards of hygiene and appearance of your team to ensure company standards are maintained.
  • Respond to the pace of the business in terms of speed of work and productivity.
  • Prepare food in the correct manner as shown by the Head Chef, in compliance with company food specifications and photographs.
  • Work with the entire team including managers and supervisors to provide quality, well-presented food with speed and efficiency.
  • Where appropriate make recommendations to improve products and service
  • Follow instructions to maximise product yield and minimise waste.
  • To make sure that you meet all legal and company requirements for fire, health, safety and hygiene

  • Have excellent culinary skills with an attention to detail
  • Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements
  • A creative thinker with sound knowledge of the latest food trends
  • Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a pressurized environment
  • Qualified to NVQ level1/2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent
  • A team player with experience of supervising a team within a similar environment
