Sous Chef

35-40 hours per week

£9.75 / £10 per hour

We are looking for a full time kitchen ninja to join our energetic and passionate team. We need a self-starter who’s quick on their feet and are able to deal with busy services whilst maintaining the highest quality. You'll have lots of experience working in kitchens, possibly working solo in a pub kitchen. You’ll be covering different sections.  We're a small team and we need people with the confidence to jump in when it gets busy. You'll need to be able to help with orders, stock control and the day-to-day logistics of running a busy kitchen. You’ll be working directly under our kitchen manager and need to be able to lead and manage the team in their absence.

You will be able to stay calm under pressure and maintain cleanliness at all times.

We are a rapidly growing company and for the right people there will be lots of opportunity to grow with us.

You need to have an enthusiasm for Italian cooking and ingredients and some knowledge of Italian-American cuisine would be an advantage. An interest in craft beer would also be a bonus.

About Us

We are a craft beer bar & kitchen called 'Mason & Company', based in Hackney Wick, alongside the canal and the edge of the Olympic Park. Our kitchen is run by Capish? which started as a street food stall in 2012, serving Italian American street food.

We serve a modern take on Italian-American classics. We are well known for our meatball hero and chicken parm sandwiches. We also run Sunday roast. We make as much as possible in house and processes we use include fermenting, smoking and sous vide techniques.

This is a full time position. Muse speak fluent English.
