We have an exciting new opportunity for a Catering Manager to oversee the catering operations within a large staff restaurant at one of our B&I units based in Sherburn-in-Elmet. Primarily you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the restaurant, all financial aspects, training, managing a team of up to 10 staff, and responsible for the Health and Safety of the operation. You will have excellent people management skills, and be able to communicate at all levels and preferably have experience within an industrial environment in a similar sized operation.

Main responsibilities
  • Managing a team of 10 staff including a Head Chef
  • Attracting new customers with your excellent service and quality food
  • Demonstrating a real passion for increasing sales and providing excellent service
  • Responsible for all the financial aspects of the business
  • Training and motivating staff
  • Building an excellent relationship with the client
  • Ensuring all customer requirements are delivered in line with the expectation
Ideal candidate
  • Must be flexible regards to working hours
  • Ideally from a Chef background
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • Experience working in a very busy and pressurised environment
  • It would be to your advantage if you have worked within contract catering
  • Client & Customer focused
  • Commercial & Results Orientated
  • Hands on management style
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Likes a challenge and enjoys working in a busy environment
