We have an amazing  opportunity for a chef manager to manage  the front and back of house for one of our new contract wins. The Chef Manager will join our team at one of our Independent Schools, near St Albans, Hertfordshire.  This is a private prep school catering for ages from  4 years - 13 year, all boys school.

The chef manager that we want must have a passion for food and have excellent culinary skills.  The chef manager will have the assistance of up to 10 staff. You will be catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner all from the highest quality products. If this sounds like you we would love to hear from you.

Package description

You will be working for the largest contract catering company in the world, within the education sector, where there is always opportunity for progression.

Between - £30000 - £35000

40 hours per week, between 7am - 4pm, but needs to be flexible

Mon - Fri, and the occasional weekend

Main responsibilities

Managing a team of 10 staff

Catering for  breakfast, lunch and dinner, all from fresh produce

Responsible for the P&L accounts

Training and motivating staff

Fully responsible for all the H&S and F&H regulations

Build an excellent relationship with the client and students

Ensure all customer requirements are delivered in line with the expectation

Ideal candidate

Have a can do attitude and be able to work well in a team

Able to motivate staff and be a strong leader

Be passionate about food

Excellent relationship building skills

Love to work with children

Strong financial awareness of the business

Be passionate about food and always working to very high standards
