An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef Manager to join Chartwells part of Compass Group UK&Ireland, to manage one of our education sites in Northolt, North West London

Reporting to the Area manager your role will be to achieve maximum sales and profit by having motivated and skilled staff who deliver an excellent customer experience. The Chef Manager will be responsible to training and motivating the team to get the best out of each individual to make this a successful and profitable unit

Package description

You will be working for the largest contract catering company in the world.

Mon - Fri, 7.30 am - 3pm, 35  hours per week

Up to £16000k per annum = which is equivalent to about £19k,

Including 10 - 12  weeks holiday per annum

Main responsibilities
  • Motivate and train your team to get the best result out of each individual
  • Catering for the lunch service all from fresh produce
  • To develop your business by continually seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve service anticipating changes and planning accordingly.
  • To develop the client realtionship on site
  • Fully responsible for H&S and F&H regulations
  • Stock taking and ordering of stock
  • Responsible for the P&L accounts
Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • City and Guilds 706/3 / NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation / Hospitality degree or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • Interpersonal, administrative and organisational skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • A 'Can do' attitude
