About the company

Our client; Arthur Rank Hospice, is dedicated to providing specialist palliative care and support to adult patients and their family, friends and carers. All care is provided free of charge, and is offer to people living throughout much of Cambridgeshire. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity works directly with the Clinical Commission Group (CCG) to deliver the care provided at the county's only adult hospice.

The aim is to enable patients and those close to them to live as fully as possible, and make the most of the time that remains.

The current Hospice is no longer able to cope with the level of demand they are now seeing and many of its facilities, now over 30 years old, are no longer fit for purpose. To refurbish the Hospice to an acceptable level would mean closing for a year and spending £3.5 million on building work – they believe that money would be better spent going towards a new, centrally located, hospice.

They are delighted to inform their supporters that in October 2016 they opened their new Hospice in Shelford Bottom, a green and leafy site with good transport access.
