We have an amazing  opportunity for a chef manager to manage  the front and back of house for one of our important  Independent Preparatory Schools near  Stroud, Gloucestershire.  The chef manager will be working with a very established and motivated team.

The chef manager that we would like to recruit, must have a passion for food and have excellent culinary skills. You will be managing a team of up to 13 staff including an experienced kitchen team to assist you with producing excellent, high quality and tasty food.  Catering for breakfast, lunch and supper. Lunch being the busiest service up to 500. The chef manager will also be involved with creating and costing of menus.   If this sounds like you, then apply today.

Package description

£28000 - £34000  per annum  generally term time  working. You will be required to work some days during  holiday periods

40 hours per week,  typically  between 8am - 4pm  Monday- Friday with occasional  early evenings and Saturday morning working

Main responsibilities

Fully responsible for the front and back of house

Responsible for the managing the accounts, budgets ,payroll.

Training and motivating staff

Fully responsible for all the H&S and F&H regulations

Build an excellent relationship with the client   pupils and academic staff

Ensure all customer requirements are delivered in line with the expectation

Ideal candidate

Have a can do attitude and be able to work well in a team

Able to motivate staff and be a strong leader

Must have experience working in a busy site

Excellent craft skills and a good understanding of creating and costing of menus, demonstrate previous experience of managing accounts ,food purchasing and payroll

Be passionate about food

Excellent relationship building skills

Enjoy  working  with children

Strong financial awareness of the business

Be passionate about food and always working to very high standards
