Commercial Services is recruiting an individual to the post of Conference Co-ordinator within the Conference Department.
The role will include implementing the sales strategy to meet and exceed agreed monthly targets; delivering targeted sales campaigns to promote the services on discounts and offers to existing and new customers and communicating with existing accounts to increase or maintain levels of the business activity. You will also identify sales opportunities and present benefits and key features of products effectively to acquire new business
whilst building key relationships with external clients and growing the new client database.
You will be expected to sell, plan and organise all aspects of room bookings, manage client budgets and raise invoices as well as promote, plan and organise all aspects of summer conference business to include Language Schools resident at Brunel University.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in event co-ordination and management, with a strong general education qualification. You should be computer literate with good database experience and must be comfortable working as a part of a team but also independently.
You should have a high level of self-motivation and an ability to drive an excellent level of customer service with a can-do attitude. As this is a client facing role, a professional demeanour is essential.
The ability to meet or exceed targets, to manage and adhere to service level agreements and to work to a strict set of KPI’s is key to success in this role.
This role may require evening and weekend working as dictated by the events diary.
