Head of Sales
Ice Cream Union is on a single minded mission to producing the world’s best ice creams. We do not corner ourselves with misnomers like “gelato” and “farm fresh”. We believe in owning as much of the production process as possible, utilising the finest ingredients and perfecting the art and chemistry behind the truly magical moment of eating an incredible ice cream. We have spent the last ten years learning this art from a home kitchen into a serious production facility in Bermondsey. Delivering to over 400 restaurants and parlours in London and count amongst our customers some of the most forward-thinking chefs in the industry. Our ambition is to take ice cream to the next level.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our sales team, and continue developing our strong customer base across both wholesale and retail channels. Reporting to the MD, the position is instrumental in informing and defining the strategic direction of the company, and as such is a key role within our leadership team. With solid experience in a sales focused role, you will have full responsibility for all company sales and the management of our customer relationships. You will also bring with you an ability to drive social marketing initiatives within our core audience. You will be expected to introduce new processes that will allow the sales and customer service functions to scale.
A charismatic and enthusiastic leader, you will lead our growing sales team and build a strong and collaborative working environment that puts our clients at the forefront of everything that we do, underpinned by expert product and production knowledge.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
* New Business Development
* Managing key accounts in our portfolio
* Management of sales team & setting targets
* Reporting: sales, customer satisfaction and other KPI’s
Our ideal candidate is a superb sales person that understands how to sell a superior quality product, with strong leadership skills and great work ethic. An excellent knowledge of the top end restaurant sector in London is essential, as is a passion for great food. This role requires someone with ambition, that believes in delivering superior customer service, and is capable of building a sales function through innovative ideas and excellent communication. As such we will be looking for the following traits in our successful candidate:
* Several years working in a sales role within the food industry
* Superb communication skills
* Demonstrate an ability to think creatively and strategically
* Great, and proven, people management skills
