Bancroft’s, one of the country’s leading schools, is seeking a Sous Chef to join their busy and proactive Catering Team. The role is an essential link in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen.
The successful candidate will help with the daily running of the kitchen, help maintain and improve standards of food production and presentation, and prepare and serve at internal and external events. We are looking for a team player who can maintain good working and professional relationships, has the ability to work to tight timescales, is flexible, and has an understanding of school activities.
The position requires an NVQ 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent experience. This is a full-time, permanent position, 52 weeks’ fixed annual salary. The normal working hours are Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 3.30pm inclusive of breaks.

The salary has a built-in allowance as pre-payment for working additional hours as and when required by the school. These additional hours may be required during school term time or holiday periods. Paid annual leave is 27 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave must be taken in school holiday periods and authorised by the line manager.
