Role: Sous Chef
Hours: 48 hours per week
(based on a 4-5 day working week, potential for flexible working)
Pay: circa £25k salary plus equal share of tips
Job description: An excellent opportunity to work in a high volume and high energy work place. The Ship is a Canal Side pub restaurant serving fresh, high quality, locally sourced food. A typical weekend day will see us serve around 200 covers. The ideal candidate will be both positive and ambitious, looking to develop and position themselves for a head chef role within 12-18 months as we look to grow the business, from the current two site operation. The ability to motivate and inspire a team is absolutely essential, in a role where you will be left with sole responsibility in the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
Would suit a current sous chef with the desire to push on further with a dynamic company, or an ambitious and capable Junior Sous/Senior CDP looking to challenge themselves in a demanding but supportive environment.
