We are seeking an exceptionally talented Executive Chef to build on the outstanding reputation for food quality in a world-renowned Private Member’s Club.
The Royal Automobile Club was founded in 1897 to promote the motor car and its place in society, which it continues to do to this day through high profile motoring events including the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. The Club's 17,000-strong members enjoy the use of two historic, exquisite clubhouses, one in the heart of Pall Mall in London and the other, Woodcote Park, Epsom, set within the grounds of a 350-acre estate in the Surrey countryside.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will have complete ownership of the food offering in six restaurants, including our beautiful fine dining restaurant, the Great Gallery, and extensive banqueting operations across two Clubhouses. You will have excellent support from two strong Head Chefs and a further team of 86 chefs and 46 kitchen stewards.

The role of Executive Chef is prominent within the industry and pivotal in driving forward The Club’s reputation by providing exemplary leadership and inspiring our talented kitchen brigades, whilst setting a culture of creative innovation and excellence in terms of product, service and professional training and ultimately to exceed our member’s expectations.
The Club has recently fully refurbished the production kitchen in Pall Mall and further development and investment will be starting in early 2019. Therefore you will be working in state of the art surroundings for a friendly organisation with an excellent benefits package.
Our Executive Chef will need:
·Outstanding leadership demonstrating the Club’s values of heritage, excellence, accountability, respect and trust.
·A proven reputation for delivering food excellence and innovation, able to reflect the broad needs of the Club Membership.
·Expertise in a variety of forms of cooking and have a broad understanding of multi-national cuisines.
·To be highly organised and structured and have a strong financial acumen.
·Multi-site experience and new openings.
·Proven managerial skills including, delegation, recruitment, training and development and be an effective communicator.
·Five years of experience as a Head Chef in a high-end establishment, ideally with at least two years’ experience in an Executive Chef role.
Our Executive Chef will be responsible for:
·Sourcing the finest ingredients to develop the finest menus.
·Development of new food concepts.
·Producing the highest quality of product at all times.
·Being a mentor, coach and leader to the kitchen team.
·Overseeing financial control within the kitchen operations, ensuring the Club obtains value for money and that financial targets are achieved.
·Overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations including establishing performance and development goals for senior members of the team.
·Establishing suppliers and partner relationships.
·Promoting The Club within the culinary industry in order to enhance our reputation.
·Collaborating with Resident Managers, Food and Beverage Managers and Restaurant Managers.
