Full Time 37 hours per week

Fixed Term Position until 1st February 2019

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £27,498 - £33,420 per annum

We are looking for an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic individual to take responsibility for managing the full process cycle within conferencing and events from sales to event delivery and driving revenue through the department. You will work closely with individuals and teams across the university including campus services; accommodation, sport, catering as well as marketing and the academic population to co-ordinate activity both internally and externally and deliver successful events. You will have responsibility for effectively managing sales, service delivery and budgets to ensure all activity is contributing to the achievement of the business plan.

You will have a strong background in either a sales of event management role with a successful track record of achieving business objectives. You will be a confident, self-motivated leader with excellent communication skills and can demonstrate strong financial acumen, analytical ability and an in-depth knowledge of the business environment to provide commercial direction. You will have first class relationship management skills and your practical experience will be complemented by a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experience and driving high performance.
