Our client is looking for a Head Chef to work within this very prestigious events based company where 90% of their business is weddings.
Established in 2002 this family run business has grown rapidly and now works in partnership with 6 luxurious venues across middle England. The businesses visions are to create innovative, unique and desirable environments to run events and weddings and do so by having great knowledge and experience throughout the team.
Based in the North of Hertfordshire you will be working in a brand new kitchen which is being fitted in January/February to start the wedding season in March. Your team will be yourself, a Sous Chef and a Junior Sous when needed. You will be responsible for all of the menu planning, food design, costings and budgets whilst working closely with the Exec Group Chef along with the venues General Manager. Typically working 5 days out of 7, however they are very flexible in terms of busy and quiet weeks.
With a starting salary of £35k, bonus and benefits this is a fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef to progress and grow within an established company.
Head Chef Requirements:
* Ideally you should have a fine dining restaurant / hotel background at least to a Sous Chef level.
* Have experience of working on all sections
* Delivery of up to 180 covers
* A good knowledge of freshly sourced ingredients
