We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to join our passionate and focussed team, who embodies CH&Co’s passion for food provenance, quality and fresh ingredients.

Main Responsibility

To work with the Head Chef to prepare, cook & serve breakfast & lunch for the café and in hospitality. Offering ideas on current food trends, new food ideas & menus. Also having the skills to work on fine dining dinners, canapé events and buffets.

Maintain and use HACCP systems to exacting standards

Maintain high standards of food preparation and service

Ensure smooth running of kitchen in Head Chefs absence

Help create new menus & recipes within cost guidelines

Attend meetings and/or training sessions as required

Work in a safe and tidy manner at all times, considering colleagues and clients

Candidate Profile:

Hardworking with a good work ethic and can do attitude.

Excellent team player, easy to get along with, good sense of humour.

Passion for food and good knowledge of current food trends

Understanding of kitchen standards especially Food Safety & HACCP systems

Understanding of health & Safety procedures within a kitchen environment

Flexibility to work some evenings

Salary: £26,000 plus overtime

Working Pattern: Mon – Fri

Hours: 40 per week (plus some evening overtime)
