Position: Permanent, full time, Graphic Designer

Place of Work: Office-based; Charing Cross Road, London


At least 5-plus years’ experience in a graphic design role for print with some understanding of digital design. Experience of designing for the food service and hospitality industries preferable but not essential, including signage and marketing and communications, ideally client side. A talented, positive and resilient, highly motivated and dedicated designer who enjoys a challenge in a creative and collaborative environment.

Overall purpose of job:

Design lead for allocated marketing projects for the company and its clients. To confidently deliver accurate, original, creative and effective design solutions in a timely manner in accordance with brand standards, marketing initiatives and client expectations.


Reporting to the Marketing Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and create artwork to meet specific marketing, promotion and communication needs such as customer facing brands and marketing initiatives: logos, icons, presentations, brochures, posters, menus and hospitality menus, digital mailshots, visual communications and signage, pull up banners, large format poster and stand design, website design etc.

To respond to design briefs in an enthusiastic manner, generating multi-disciplined design and marketing solutions using typography, photo editing, logo application, illustration and eye-catching layout.

Preparing print-ready artwork for production.

To adhere to and maintain the integrity and continuous development of inhouse company branding.

To adhere to client brand guidelines as needed.

Design for the full life cycle of a project; from research and presentation of concept design to creation including managing the production of multiple applications of the design in both print-ready and digital artwork.

Self-managing time to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines.

Working as part of a collaborative team, sharing skills and design techniques, supporting others and where appropriate guiding other designers in the team.

Representing the marketing design team, attending meetings and presenting work as required.


Degree or diploma in relevant field preferred.

Outstanding portfolio showcasing creative and well-crafted design projects from concept through to completion.

Solid understanding of and experience in Adobe Creative Suite; Acrobat, Bridge, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Clear and effective communicator.

Good time management, able to prioritise tasks appropriately.

Able to work alone using own initiative and also collaboratively as part of a team.

Strong research skills required to support the production of content.

Knowledge of various different print techniques, paper stocks and print solutions.

Outstanding attention to detail and a keen eye for layout.

Hard working, adaptable to changing projects and work flows, able to work under pressure.

This role would be suited to someone with:

A knowledge and understanding of the importance of the customer journey, POS, marketing and signage.

A true passion for design with an extraordinary eye for aesthetics and confident at explaining and presenting the reasons behind ideas to others.

A strong interest in design trends, techniques and solutions, an interest in food service, competitor and industry awareness is also essential.
