We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join the team at Newmarket Racecourse
Newmarket Racecourse is the Home of Racing with 39 fantastic race days in 2015. Top Quality Racing, Fantastic Themed Days & Live Music Events. Huntingdon Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue located in Brampton near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England. It hosts 17 jump race meetings spanning nine months of each calendar year.
For the right Sous Chef, we are offering a competitive salary, a supportive management system, and an enthusiastic team. You will be working 5 out of 7 days, 40 hours per week, catering for race days and non-race daysPackage description

The role involves being responsible for making sure the operation is run smoothly, cooking meals from scratch and supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will plan, organise and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the company’s reputation for quality is enhanced with customers and clients at all times. Support the existing team in food production covering the entire dining operation by providing advice, expertise and innovation.Ideal candidate
- Have previous Sous Chef experience at high volume
- Have previous experience with C&E or match/race day catering.
- Passionate about food
- Be able to deliver a high standard of service
- Loves the diversity in their work
- Must have enthusiastic, can-do attitude
