Job Description

Sous Chef 4* 1 Rosette - Hotel, GL7, Gloucestershire

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef or a Junior Sous ready to take the next step up, to join our Kitchen Team at our 4* hotel in Gloucestershire.

This busy 22 bedroomed hotel, with popular bar (30c), courtyard (80c) and 1 Rosette brasserie (70c) welcomes residents and lots of visitors to the village alike.

It is a busy, fast paced environment which is seeing a steady increase in levels of business.

The Hotel also hosts approximately 45 weddings a year along with other events but has the benefit of a separate function kitchen.

The Sous Chef will join a brigade of friendly professional Chefs and I need someone with passion, flair and an eye for detail. You will be overseeing a team of CDPs along with having a hand in ordering and food safety management within the kitchen.

There are two distinct styles of food being served.

  • Bar food served at lunch in the bar - classic comfort favourites served in a smart way.
  • The Brasserie caters for a more polished dining experience to a rosette standard.

You should be capable and confident within any section of the kitchen.

The Hotel ensures that regular training is carried out in all departments and they actively support individual staff in their attainment of further qualifications and internal promotion.

There is great opportunity for career progression within the group, as the personal development of their employees is a key priority, they ensure regular training is carried out in all departments and actively support individual staff in their attainment of further qualifications and internal promotion.
