General Manager, Salary Up to £45k dependent on experience

As the General Manager you will lead and support the catering and housekeeping team at North London Collegiate School by providing outstanding services to the students and staff.

Main responsibilities
  • Inspire and lead the team to deliver an excellent catering service through great food and excellent customer service
  • Coach and develop our housekeeping manager to deliver and excellent service within a fixed price framework
  • Support and inspire our head chef to continually develop and innovative food offer within the school
  • Develop and build an outstanding relationship with the students, parents, staff and clients
  • You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Effective control all costs
  • P&L Management
  • Introduction of new ideas across both services to drive them forward
Ideal candidate
  • Passionate about catering and service delivery
  • Knowledge of food preparation and standards required
  • A strong leader, with bags of enthusiasm and energy
  • Management experience within a similar environment and knowledge of working within schools would be an advantage
  • Experience of management of catering service is essential including high level hospitality
  • An adaptable individual who can communicate at all levels from pupils to clients
  • Very organised and enjoys working in a very busy environment
  • Sound knowledge of legislative standards
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Computer literacy
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Ability to offer excellent customer service
  • A 'Can do' attitude
