Are you a Finance Professional seeking your next role within a commercially driven, fast paced FTSE 100 business?

Compass Group is a global business that each year serves 5 billion meals in more than 50,000 client locations in 50 countries. This opportunity is within Restaurant Associates who are at the forefront of employee dining experience and catering for some of the most prestigious names across industries. The role will be based within the UK however, is part of a global contract held by Compass and therefore, give exposure to both the UK and global arms of Compass.

Main responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Partner operational team to deliver strong financial performance
  • Support and track key budget delivery projects
  • Provide analysis and report findings to aid business decisions
  • Build business cases for new business and contract changes

Management Accounts

  • Management of in contract Finance Team
  • Ensure costs are accurately captured and recorded in the correct periods
  • Budgets and quarterly re-forecasting for contract
  • Prepare and partake in monthly business reviews with London and UK management

Financial Controls

  • Responsible for in contract financial controls and systems
  • Knowledge of contract financial terms and impact on P&L and balance sheet
  • Ownership of billing and debt to ensure payment is received on time
  • Accuracy of contract P&L and Balance Sheet in SAP
Ideal candidate
  • Part/ Newly qualified accounting professional (CIMA, ACCA etc.)
  • Proactive with an enthusiasm and willingness to constructively challenge.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate information
  • Strong MS Excel skills and preferably finance systems (SAP, Hyperion etc)
  • Ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically as well as to non-finance teams
  • Excellent inter personal skills with proven ability to influence internal and external parties
  • Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver in agreed timescales
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own work
