Bristol Zoo and Wild Place Project – two fantastic venues that Levy UK are proud to be a long standing catering partner for. Levy UK provide catering for day visitors at both venues as well as providing an ever expanding and diverse Conference and Events business.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy General Manager to oversee the full range of retail and event services including our recent new retail concept ‘The Hide’. Business is very seasonal, so you will be expected to forecast and plan to maximise sales. Events can vary, with regular weddings in the Clifton Pavilion and large grounds events for up to 1200 delegates. This is an exciting period for Levy and a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of our ever expanding business. This is an environment where no day is the same.

Up to £32,000 per annum

To work 5 out of 7 days, in line with business needs.

Main responsibilities
  • Managing client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to
  • Driving the service and support to exceed our client's and our customers' expectations
  • Planning and implementing plans to achieve strategic growth of the operation and overall contract delivery
  • Coaching, developing and leading a team to provide exceptional service to the clients and customers
  • Driving service excellence thereby exceeding customer expectations/requirements and enhancing the customer journey
  • Supporting the General Manager to deliver the commercial growth for the business through leading and supporting your team in delivery of their financial targets
  • Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of Food & beverage, operating with focus on innovation, standards and market awareness
Ideal candidate
  • Strategic Management experience within a similar Leisure / Retail and C&E background
  • The ability to build and lead an effective team
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Results orientated and motivated to achieve measurable results
  • Sound knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated and show the ability to work in a pressurised commercial, customer facing environment
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • Computer literacy
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Hold a drivers licence
