Chigwell Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Catering Manager.

We are looking for a Catering Manager to be responsible for cooking healthy, nutritious and appealing meals for our pupils and staff. The successful applicant would be a part of a drive to increase the uptake of school meals further in the school.

The main focus of the role will be the planning, preparation and presentation of food and beverages to the school food standards.

 The Role

You will be leading a team of 2 all of which have vital roles within the kitchen . You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen including all daily checks, stock rotation, ordering etc. along with monthly stocktakes.

Previous experience in a restaurant or school kitchen management is desirable. Knowledge of preparing healthy, balanced meals from scratch is a must. Managing a budget and completing stock takes is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided as a part of our commitment to staff development. You will also have the opportunity to gain some in house training as well as food safety from external sources.
