Are you an experienced recruiter or staffing professional within the hospitality industry? Do you have experience within a venue or stadium managing staffing, training and People Operations? If so, our Levy UK business has a brilliant opportunity for a HR Manager to join us on site at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow!

The SEC is Scotland’s largest event Campus and home to The SSE Hydro, the second busiest entertainment venue in the world. With capacities ranging from the 3,000 seat SEC Armadillo to the 13,000 capacity SSE Hydro, the venue has hosted major sporting occasions, the World’s biggest live entertainment acts, high profile consumer exhibitions, not to mention International Conferences which welcome visitors from right across the Globe, all of which demand very different approaches to Food & Drink.

Main responsibilities

As our HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the People Operations function which includes recruitment, training, retention and payroll. You will manage a team of 6 and have overall responsibility for all HR requirements for the site with the support of the Venue Director. You will have responsibility for the following areas:

  • Provide a proactive unit based labour management and basic HR service that creates the Levy difference through delivering Legendary Experiences and Powerful Partnerships
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of People Operations at the venue and for liaising with the senior management team to deliver best practice to drive change and constantly deliver business objectives
  • To provide strong leadership whilst delivering and managing the People Operations function and working with the central Compass team to support any technical initiatives launched at the SEC
  • To ensure the smooth planning and delivery of a first-class service to the internal customer base and all customers within the venue
  • To ensure that all individuals employed by Levy UK at the venue are recruited and trained to levy standards to deliver a 5-star service to all our guests
Ideal candidate

o be right for us, you will have previous experience in People Operations and staffing within a similar venue or stadium based environment. You will have experience, skills and knowledge within the following areas:

  • Previous experience as a Staffing or Recruitment Manager or similar in a demanding fast paced environment
  • Experienced leader who has a people first approach to business
  • A positive attitude and friendly approach
  • Commercial experience in a fast paced, high volume variable labour environment
  • Awareness of London recruitment market and key competitors
  • Experience of working with a client group
  • High degree of IT proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead others
  • Engaging, enthusiastic, sociable and motivated (essential)
  • Able to influence and operate at all stakeholder levels
  • Ability to support change with effective project and stakeholder management skills
