We have an opening for a talented individual who has a wealth of knowledge within domestic/housekeeping to come and join the team at Kings College Hospital as our Shift Manager.

Kings College are one of London's largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with a strong profile of local services primarily serving the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley.

Their specialist services are available to patients across a wider catchment area, providing nationally and internationally recognised work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences & haemato-oncology.

Main responsibilities

As our Shift manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing a large Domestic Cleaning Team, 19 direct reports (Cleaning Supervisors ) - equipment, resources and third-party sub-contractors, ensuring the cleaning operation is in accordance with nationally recognised cleaning standards, the client service level agreement and company standards & procedures.

Ideal candidate

What we would be looking for in applications from are individuals who that can demonstrate knowledge & experience and have a full understanding of delivering high Quality Cleaning in specialist environments such as Hospitals cleaning, either public or private. Have a working knowledge of infection control

You will also have a track record of delivering year on year improvements in service delivery, maintaining high standards over a consistent period and a passion for cleaning excellence.

You would also be an outstanding communicator, able to liaise confidently with colleagues & senior clients and lead, engage & develop team members.
