We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager within our Cuisine Centre, St Albans London. To lead the technical function in the achievement of performance targets related to food safety and product quality. To ensure robust and relevant food safety systems are up to date and functional at all times. Ensuring the sites are operating in line with BRC and Compass Group standards.


Main responsibilities

The role will encompass responsibility for the following areas




  • Safety of self and others

  • Technical KPI’s

  • Site Hygiene

  • Product safety

  • Due diligence

  • Allergen control

  • Financial control with Technical function 

  • BRC standards


Ideal candidate

Ideally you would possess the following skills




  • Food safety systems experience to BRC standards

  • High level understanding of microbiology relevant to food safety and product life testing

  • Operational understanding of chilled ready meal production

  • Allergen and allergen control

  • Product labelling and related legal obligation

  • Relevant food safety law

  • Advanced knowledge of food tractability systems 

  • Ability to work with others as part of a team

  • Reasonable leadership skills

  • Able to influence others in the wider business

  • Customer / client management skills

  • A moderate understanding of product nutrition and related software systems

  • Supplier auditing and management skills
