We are looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our culinary team within the Wingfield Cafe & Staff Restaurant at this prestigious sports club based in the heart of Wimbledon.

This is one of the world’s iconic sporting locations serving as a private Members Club during 50 weeks of the year and then, for two weeks, hosting The Championships – the world’s premier grass court tennis tournament.

We are looking for a Head Chef that can help drive our food offer forward working alongside the General Manager and Executive Chef.

This role offers great development opportunities and would suit a current Head Chef with contract catering restaurant experience ready to take on a more challenging  role.

Main responsibilities

  • The Head Chef will plan, organise and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the company’s reputation for quality is enhanced with customers and clients at all times

  • Taking responsibility for the food production with a hands-on approach

  • Driving sales through centrally driven menu planning and promotions and preferred suppliers

  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety, HS and COSHH

  • The Head Chef will also be required to implement and maintain food monitoring procedures to facilitate budgetary control and to monitor all costs involved in the kitchen against agreed budgets.
