Offshore Adhoc Chef/ Baker - COTA Grade D

The overall purpose of the role is to perform a variety of tasks associated with the preparation, cooking, presentation and serving of food to the highest standards with due regard to all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations to ensure the efficient and effective running of the unit in line with contractual requirements.
The candidate should have previous experience in cooking, baking, and patisserie products and fine dining. They would also have experience with batch cooking, making bread, hot and cold sweets including cakes/ tray bakes and must be comfortable working alone using their own initiative. Due to the nature of the industry then day and nightshift working will be required to cover 24 hour operations.
The candidate should also hold the following essential certification:
- Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) or Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET)
- Fit to Train (FTT)
- Compressed Air - Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS)
- Bi-Deltoid Measurements (Shoulder Measurements)
- OGUK Medical with Food Handlers
- Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent
The following would also be advantageous as desirable certification:
- Offshore First Aid
- Advanced Offshore First Aid
- Coxswain Twinfall
- Coxswain Freefall
