We have an opportunity for a talented Assistant Manager to join the team at our Costa Coffee unit based at the The York Hospital.


Package description

  • £19,000 - £21,000

  • 40 Hours per week- Shift patterns vary between 7am-8pm, 8 hours per day 5 days a week. Working days would be predominantly Monday to Friday with occasional weekends when the business requires

Main responsibilities

This unit is one of our flagship operations and has delivered year on year growth. To support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and effectively and to deputise for the Store Manager in their absence and to be a brand ambassador.



To ensure the store is opened and closed, adhering to all Costa standards, policies & procedures, ensuring that all brand standards are delivered throughout the shift to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Completing all relevant COSTA check, standards, food & health and safety checks.


Ideal candidate

We are looking for individuals that have a proven track record of delivering profitable sales success within a retail food environment, ideally from a coffee related operation.



Detailed experience in the mentoring and development of their staff, achieving consistent high audits outcome, profit protection, labour management and GP. Excellent interpersonal capability and experience of working in a customer facing, fast-paced environment.
