We have a great opportunity for a talented Chef Manager to come and join the team at the Independent school AKS Lytham in Blackpool.



Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will manage the catering operations with focus and drive. There is a real opportunity for you to make a difference and make your mark in the exciting time of growth.


Main responsibilities

As one of our Chef managers you will be dynamic, creative and an excellent people manager. You will be professional and responsible in your approach to managing the department’s service – assuming a hands-on approach to support and direct your team to achieve exceptional levels of service. You will also have a good level of financial acumen.



You will be a friendly and approachable and have passion for providing customer service excellence. Be a team motivator who manages their team to be passionate about what they do, ensuring each customer has a positive experience. You will be innovative and have the ability to forward plan.



You will engage with the client regularly keeping them up to date of successes and challenges and have a can-do attitude to resolving any issues.


Ideal candidate

The types of applications we would be looking for are candidates interested in in the Chef Manager position would be the following




  • Good Chef Skills – (NVQ 2 as a minimum)

  • Good knowledge and experience of working with food in a contract catering environment

  • Proven commercial background in catering or similar industry

  • People Management

  • Communication

  • Results Orientation

  • Understanding Customers



This role would suit either an experienced Chef Manager looking for a long-term career opportunity or a Head Chef looking for a step up into management.
