An exciting opportunity has come up at one of our prestigious contracts in Twickenham. We looking to recruit an Assistant Hospitality Manager to support the Hospitality Manager in the day to day running of the high volume events and functions that will be taking place throughout the year.

  • Up to £30,000 depending on experience

Main responsibilities

You will be expected to manage, train and develop the team in Manager’s absence as well ensure a smooth and high end service is provided at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity, not to be missed!

  • You will be attending regular meetings and ensure that relevant information is cascaded as appropriately. Supervise and manage the casual team to ensure effective communication.

  • Provide direct liaison with client, customer and sales team to ensure clear communications of each events needs and expectations

  • Deal with all customer comments in a positive manner and take appropriate follow up action, turning any negative customer experiences into positive ones

  • Ensure day-to-day delivery of catering services as advised to standards set within the business

  • Ensure that the necessary audits are carried out as per company standard

  • Lead by example and ensure members of the team wear the correct, full and clean uniform whilst on duty.  Actively address all issues relation to non-adherence of company standards

  • Support the Hospitality Manager in communicating, motivating and involving individuals within the team

  • Promptly respond to all queries in a timely manner, which includes those of suppliers, managers, clients and colleagues

  • Strive to exceed customer expectations on all occasions/events

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations with a focus on innovation, standards and marketing awareness

  • Ensure perfect presentation of all areas of responsibility on site

  • Demonstrate ability to identify training needs and carry out on the job training

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the unit / location and work

  • Be aware and adhere with statutory, legal and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Licensing Laws, Employment Law, Fire Regulations, Sales of Goods / Trade Description

  • Report all maintenance issues and hazards as in the company health and safety manual

  • Maximise all sales opportunities through selling techniques

  • Have knowledge of all unit/location products and be able to advise the customer in a professional, helpful manner

  • Play a proactive role in growing sales at the location under the guidance of you line manager

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of all company marketing initiatives

  • Support your Line Manager in the achievement of sales revenue and targets for the department / location and to optimise profitability and efficiency within the unit

  • Demonstrate excellent control of all operating costs in line with set targets

  • Work within all budget restrictions provided


Ideal candidate
