You will assist both the Head and Sous Chef to assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment. To also assist in the smooth running of the kitchen with direction from more senior members of the kitchen brigade making sure you provide outstanding food experiences.
You will need to support your kitchen to make sure it is fully compliant with Compass process, allergen management, healthy and safety and food hygiene regulations and run commercially in line with budget expectations.

Successful Sandwich Maker will be responsible for the following:
- Promote all we do by engaging with customers and users through our food choices, displays, space designs while acting as a Compass Advocate at all times
- To prepare and cook sufficient food to provide the agreed amount of customer choice with minimum waste
- To deal with customer requests promptly and politely
- To ensure knowledge about the food being prepared and cooked so can advise customers. To participate in daily menu briefs to all catering assistants.
- Always provide an excellent service at all times
- Ensure all customer feedback/comments are acted on promptly
- Previous experience as Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef.
- Understanding and knowledge of industry trends and direction.
- Strong communicator that can confidently speak with all levels within the business.
